CSI Students Represent the College at the “Cutting Edge 2026” Exhibition of Innovation
Five talented students from Colombo South International College (CSI) proudly represented the college at the prestigious “Cutting Edge 2026” Exhibition of Innovation, organized by the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) and held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo, on 30th June 2026.
The students earned this remarkable opportunity after securing Second Place at the Vision Nex – Inter Schools Hackathon 2026, demonstrating their creativity, technical expertise, and innovative problem-solving skills. Their achievement brought great pride to the college and earned them the honour of showcasing their work at one of the country’s leading innovation exhibitions.
The students who represented Colombo South International College were:

- Zaahid Zaman
- Hamshad Intikab
During the exhibition, the students presented their innovative project to visitors, educators, industry professionals, and fellow innovators. They also explored a wide range of cutting-edge technologies, research projects, and inventions showcased by universities, technology companies, and young innovators from across Sri Lanka. The experience provided them with valuable exposure to emerging technologies, strengthened their presentation and communication skills, and inspired them to pursue further innovation and excellence.
To encourage a wider appreciation of technology and innovation, students from Grades 9A, 10A, 10C1, and 10C2 were also given the opportunity to visit the exhibition as part of an educational tour. Accompanied by Mr. Oshada Lakmal and Ms. Prasadi Upekshika, the students explored the exhibition, interacted with exhibitors, and gained first-hand knowledge of the latest advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), engineering, robotics, and artificial intelligence.
