ASCEND 25 – Leadership Camp 2025
On February 16th, 2025, The Board Of Prefects of Colombo South International College proudly hosted Ascend 25
– Leadership Camp, a dynamic and enriching experience designed to shape the leaders of tomorrow.
Bringing together student prefects from 12 distinguished schools, the camp provided a unique platform to foster
collaboration, leadership development, and personal growth. We were honored by the presence of our Principal,
Mr. B.A Abeyrathne and our Deputy Principal, Mrs. Ranmalee Wettasinghe who played an instrumental role in
making this event a success.
A special highlight of the camp was the inspiring session by renowned leadership trainer, Mr. Suranga Tennakoon,
who engaged participants with interactive discussions and thought-provoking activities. Throughout the day,
attendees participated in engaging sessions and hands-on leadership exercises, equipping them with essential skills
to thrive as future leaders.
The theme of Ascend 25 – “Rise. Lead. Inspire.” – echoed throughout the camp, reminding every participant that
leadership is about empowering others, embracing challenges, and striving for excellence.
As the event concluded, it was clear that Ascend 25 was more than just a camp—it was a journey of growth,
resilience, and transformation. The lessons learned and the friendships built will serve as guiding lights for these
young leaders as they step forward into the future.
