Commerce Society Hosts Insightful Seminar on Soft Skills and AI-Integrated Education

In an era rapidly transformed by technological advancement, bridging the gap between modern technology and essential human traits has never been more vital. Addressing this crucial intersection, the Commerce Society of Colombo South International College successfully hosted an enlightening seminar titled “Growing Human Soft Skills & AI-Integrated Education” on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

The event, which commenced at 12:30 PM in the CSI College Auditorium, brought together parents, educators, and students to explore the evolving landscape of modern learning.

The highlight of the afternoon was an inspiring and thought-provoking session led by the distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Zameer Careem. Throughout the seminar, Dr. Careem emphasized that while Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape academic environments and future career landscapes, core human soft skills—such as emotional intelligence, critical thinking, adaptability, and collaboration—remain entirely irreplaceable. He shared valuable insights into how parents and teachers can work together to cultivate these essential human traits alongside tech-driven learning tools to ensure students are well-rounded and future-ready.

The Commerce Society extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Zameer Careem for sharing his expertise, and to all the parents whose active participation contributed immensely to the event’s success.

Colombo South International College remains committed to fostering an educational ecosystem that embraces technological innovation while keeping humanity firmly at its core.
